Over the past two years, we've experimented with infusing agarwood into tea through charcoal roasting. After confirming its success with Cliff tea, we applied this method to Shou Pu-erh, whose original Qi is largely lost during fermentation, making the agarwood's Qi infusion particularly effective. Combined with the rich and mellow taste of Shou, a more satisfying drinking experience can be obtained.
We selected a premium 16-year-aged Shou Pu-erh from Yiwu (易武) ancient trees, rich in golden buds and offering exceptional depth and endurance. And the tea cakes were broken into small pieces and roasted with agarwood over charcoal fire.
After two rounds of roasting, the results were extraordinary. The "pile odor" was completely eliminated, and the tea developed a subtle caramel-like sweetness. Most importantly, the agarwood's Qi fully integrated, creating a powerful presence that fills the body with warmth and vitality from the first sip, awakening every cell like immersing our body in a sacred spring.
Though the tightly compressed cakes prevent the agarwood fragrance from being as noticeable as in our Cliff teas, this remains the most wonderful Pu-erh we've tasted, exceptionally rich, deep and full of Qi. We hope it will bring you an extraordinary Pu-erh experience along with lasting health and vitality.
