More than a thousand years ago, Emperor Li Yu (937-978 AD), the last ruler of the Southern Tang dynasty, have blended rose water (薔薇水) from Arabian lands with agarwood and styrax oil to create incense of exquisite beauty. Inspired by this tradition, we previously recreated Emperor Li's Sleeping Incense, a composition warmly received by our friends and collectors.

For this new creation, we bring together Persian Rose essential oil and our treasured AMBERGRIS & MUSK OUD, carefully blending them with the processed agarwood powder and other aromatic ingredients. Together, they give the rose a deeper, more powerful expression.

As the incense burns, the delicate beauty of rose unfolds through rich oud, warm ambergris and musk. The fragrance has a fuller body and a deeper presence, with layers that gradually reveal themselves, allowing you to savour softness of rose, the warmth of ambergris and musk, and the lingering depth of agarwood.
