Meditation & Yoga Incense - Koya Reika Incense

Ingredient: Koya Cedar Oud, Sinking Agarwood, Reiryokoh (from Kōyasan Daishidō), Mysore sandalwood, Borneol, etc.

Kōyasan is one of the most sacred mountains in Japan. It is known as the center of Shingon Buddhism, founded by Master Kūkai. He believed that incense played a crucial role in Buddhist ceremonies and meditative practices. As a result, all the temples on Mount Kōya have been extensively using incense since a thousand years ago.

One of the most famous incense is the Koya Reika Incense which has a heritage of hundreds of years. It is a great pity that most of the raw materials are replaced by synthetic fragrances, and we can no longer feel any energy within it now. In order to recreate this incense that represents the immense energy of Kōyasan, we used the highest grade of Reiryokoh from Kōyasan Daishidō together with our Sinking agarwood and other spices. The Koya Cedar Oud was also used to incorporate the more complete energy of Mount Koya.
