Hand-made pure agarwood sticks with Oud oil

Even though it is all agarwood, the experiences you get from heating it, burning it, or smelling its oil are completely different, which shows how complex its aromatic molecules are. Although I have been making agarwood incense sticks for more than 14 years, I still wouldn’t dare say that I fully understand it. Especially when I test different combinations of oils and wood materials, it feels as if there are infinite possibilities to created.

This batch, in particular, when I paired a special Vietnamese Oud oil that was distilled more than 20 years ago with corresponding Vietnamese wood, it released an incredibly heating aroma when burning, that unique sweet melon-like notes from this region. It gave me a completely unexpected surprise and a deeper understanding of agarwood.
